Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, Provincial Minister of Punjab for Youth Affairs and Sports, said on Thursday that they are going to stage international kabaddi events in all cities of Punjab.
“We have invited four to five international kabaddi teams to play in Pakistan,” said Bhatti. “We will look to host matches in South Punjab as well to present a positive image of Pakistan.”
Bhatti bids to promote sports in the province with a vision to keep the youth of Punjab involved in healthy activities. He further stated that the government and the Punjab Sports Board always look to appreciate youngsters who make Pakistan proud.
He mentioned Haider Ali and Inam Butt who won medals for Pakistan at the international events and rewarded the two athletes with Rs 1 lac.
Moreover, Butt has established a wrestling academy after winning a Gold medal in men’s wrestling 86kg category. The provincial minister announced that he will visit his academy and help him with facilities.
“I will personally visit Inam Butt’s wrestling academy and will provide him mat and shelter,” he said.
