Pakistan team’s all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed said that their focus is to adjust in Australian conditions as soon as possible.
In a video interview released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Iftikhar said that the conditions there are tough but they will try to gain rhythm earlier.
“We all know about tough conditions in Australia. I think it is tough for us to adjust here as at our home the conditions are totally different. But our priority is to take things as simple as we can and try to set ourselves quickly,” he said.
The 29-years-old cricketer put weight on team’s selection for the tough tour and thinks that all the selected players are domestic performers. “Yes, players are young but I think they all are domestic performers. We all are looking forward to contributing worthy for the team against the Aussies,” Iftikhar said.
The hard-hitting batsman is confident to deliver for the team and well prepared to take up the task. “I have worked hard on my techniques and had performed strongly in red-ball cricket as well. I will try my best to fill my role in the team,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to mention here that the green shirts will play three T20Is against Australia on November 3, 5 and 8. They will play two matches Test series against the home side from November 21.
