Pakistan’s Test captain Azhar Ali is looking forward to moving on while taking out some positives from the Australia tour.
“A lot of positives also happened during the series. We found some young pacers who have the potential to deliver strongly for the team in the future. The world talked about them which is a good sign,
“Babar Azam once again proved himself and scored runs which give us confidence for the future. I know we lost the series in Australia but we will try to take these positives ahead and focus on upcoming assignments,” Azhar said while talking to the reporters in Lahore.
Azhar highlighted that Australia’s tour has always been tough for an Asian team. Teams need to play aggressively there. “The conditions in Australia are tough for an Asian team. Defeating Australia at their home ground is tough but we tried to give them a tough time,” he added.
The right-handed batsman expressed satisfaction over his performance and said that he is in good form but just needs to convert his form into scoring runs.
“When you feel good it means you are in good knick. I just need to score runs otherwise my form is good,” he said.
It must be noted here that Pakistan lost 2-0 to Australi in the two-match Test series. They lost both the matches by an innings margin.
