West Indian captain having joyous time in Karachi


West Indies women cricket team captain Merissa Aguilleira is enjoying every bit of her time in Pakistan as the whole visiting team was being taken to Karachi’s tour.

Merissa while waiting for lunch in a local hotel recorded a video enjoying in the city of lights and posted it on her official Twitter account. She was having lunch with the hotel’s marketing director who paid tribute to the whole team for touring Pakistan to revive international cricket in the country.

“I am here in Pakistan, enjoying every moment. It is overwhelming to being here in this amazing city,” she said.

West Indies captain praised the hospitality they got in Karachi and called the people of Pakistan supportive and caring.

“It was great interacting with the people here, they are so respectful, caring and hospitable,” Merissa said. She was quick to add that they want to explore Karachi as much as possible but will remain here just one more day.

“I am thankful for getting an opportunity to come here. I will take some unforgettable memories along with me,” she said.

After men, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has successfully staged an international women event as West Indies women’s cricket is on the tour of Karachi. Two out of three matches T20I series has been already won by the visiting team with one more to go on Sunday. After this series, both teams will play three ODI matches series in Dubai.

Earlier, the cricket board auspiciously hosted West Indies men’s cricket team for three T20I matches in Karachi last year immediately after PSL’s final on March 25 at National Stadium Karachi.
