Even friendly games between the two teams, Pakistan and India re always high voltage contests. This Sunday’s match between the two teams had to be a huge deal as ICC Champions Trophy was at stake. Moreover, Pakistani fans were looking for a win desperately to stop the continuous trolls from the other side of border.
Defying all odds, after conceding a humiliating defeat in the opening group match against India, Pakistan absolutely demolished Indian team on the big occasion and registered their biggest win in terms of runs against India, by 180 runs.
Before the first match between the arch-rivals, Virender Sehwag, former Indian aggressive opener, termed Bangladesh as their ‘Potay’ (grandson) and Pakistan as ‘Bete’ (son) in a distasteful humour.
Moreover, a veteran Indian actor, Rishi Kapoor constantly taunted Pakistan on various issues in his tweets. In one of his tweets, he requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to send a cricket team in the final as the team played in June 4 game was not any match for India.
The stars were flying high, before Pakistan turned up in the final as a completely different unit and just ran riot over India. Pakistan fans were desperately waiting for response from both Sehwag and Kapoor, at the end it turned out as expected, they bogged down before Pakistan’s brilliant show in the field.
Virender Sehwag at the end congratulated Pakistan team and called it a ‘well deserved victory’ for them.
Congratulations Pakistan on a really comprehensive victory today. Well played, deserved winners and a great result for Pakistan cricket.

On the other hand, Rishi Kapoor conceded the defeat and accepted that Pakistan outplayed them.
Yes Pakistan, you have defeated us. Well played, outplayed us in all departments. Many congratulations, I concede. Best wishes!

Pakistan was the eighth ranked side in the eight-team tournament, no one backed them to even reach the semi-finals yet they won the trophy after a horrendous start against India.
