Who will lead Pakistan in Australia, England series?

Doubts raised over Sarfraz’s captaincy as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that a decision on who will lead Pakistan in the Australia and England series will be announced after the PSL season 4.

PCB spokesperson on Wednesday said that the board announce the captain series by series, the captain for the series after PSL will be announced later.

The skipper in all three formats of the game, Sarfraz Ahmed was banned by the ICC for passing racist comments to South African all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo during the second ODI which they lost by five wickets.

He later apologized for passing such offensive comments on the field which was caught by the stumps’ mic.

Moreover, Shoaib Malik who led Pakistan side in the fourth ODI was also lauded by South Africa’s former captain Graham Smith. He remarked that Malik’s leadership and performance as captain are much more satisfactory than Sarfraz’s.

Meanwhile, the world cup trophy reached South Africa in the absence of Sarfraz, which created chaos among cricket fans and former cricketers.
