The man-of-the-match in the first T20I between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Shoaib Malik, shared a softer moment in the press box.
A reporter asked the 37-year-old cricketer: “Shoaib, as you said, being an experienced player it is your responsibility to groom youngsters in the team. So, being a senior cricketer than your coach Misbah-ul-Haq, will you groom him too?”
Malik tackled the question quite well meanwhile the press box broke out in laughter. He said the learning process in everyone’s life continues throughout. “See, no one in this world can say that he has learned everything. The learning process never ends in anyone’s life,” he said.
Former Pakistan captain backed Misbah-ul-Haq as head coach-sum-chief selector and asked people to give him some time to mend the things. “Actually, we expect overnight results which are not possible. We need to wait if someone is capable of delivering,” he said.
It must be noted here that Malik showed power pack performance on his return in the national team after last year’s World Cup. He scored 58 runs 45 balls to win the first T20I for Pakistan against Bangladesh.
