MIAMI: World number one Serena Williams outplayed CiCi Bellis 6-1 6-1 while Simona Halep and Flavia Pennetta also won their Miami Open matches, ARYSports.tv reports.
Williams just conceded eight points in the 12 games she won as Bellis held her serve just once in each set.
The World No.1 will take on Svetlana Kuznetsova in the fourth round after she shocked Angelique Kerber 6-3 3-6 6-3.
Meanwhile, Halep defeated Camila Giori 6-4 7-5 to qualify for the last 16 stage of the tournament for the first time.
Halep emerged victorious despite being broken while serving for the match at 5-4 up in the second set.
She will take on Pennetta who defeated Victoria Azarenka 7-6(5) 7-6(6).
