Windies women’s cricket team captain Merissa Aguilleira had memorable camel ride at the Sea View Beach during their tour to Karachi to play three-match T20I series.
“It makes me a bit scared when camel stood up but overall that tour made my day,” she said while talking to the ARY Sports.
Merissa said that she will take lots of memories along with her from this tour which will be rememberable in her whole life.
“I think it was the right decision to come over here and I am lucky to have experienced such an exuberant environment,’ said Merissa who loved the hospitality and the nature of people in Karachi who crazily follow cricket.
Merissa loved eating Barbecue chicken during their visit to Central Police Office in Karachi on Saturday night. “I ate Barbecue chicken a lot. It melted my heart and I would love to have it some more,” she said.
Windies skipper is glad to become a part of the revival of International cricket in Pakistan and asked other cricketing nations to tour the country where all sporting events can take place without any security concerns.
“There were no security issues during our stay here and I think Pakistan is a safe place. I would like to call everyone to come and play in Pakistan,” she said.
On the other hand, left-handed batswoman Kycia Knight is happy with their performance in Pakistan where conditions suited them.
“It helped us a lot when the ball was coming slow and onto the bat which made it an easy task to hit the ball big,” said Knight who enjoyed his time with lovely Karachiites.
Shemaine Campbelle praised people of Karachi for taking care of them and providing them every possible facility during their complete stay.
“We were a bit nervous before coming here but now we have completely changed thoughts about this place,” said Campbelle.
It is pertinent to mention here that West Indies after winning T20I series will now meet Pakistan in a three-match ODI series in the UAE.
