The social media flooded with wishes as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled their new coaching panel on Wedenesday. The board has announced Misbah Ul Haq and Waqar Younis as head coach and bowling coach of the Pakistan team for the next three years.
The duo got the selected from a five-member panel, which interviewed several candidates and submitted their recommendations to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman.
The news of their appointment has been met with overwhelming support on social media.
Owner of Karachi Kings Mr Salman Iqbal took to Twitter to congratulate both the legends, “Great choice by @TheRealPCB coach @captainmisbahpk and bowling coach @waqyounis99. Both legends !!!! Congratulations to both the legends” he wrote on his official Twitter handle.

Australian batsman, Dean Jones, who was also in the running for the head coach post, congratulated both former cricketers.

Misbah and Waqar previously worked as a pair from May 2014 to April 2016 with the former as captain and the latter as head coach.
