‘I witnessed Sharjeel Khan working very hard off the park’ Mitchell McClenaghan

Karachi: New Zealand’s pacer Mitchell McClenaghan thinks that left-handed explosive batsman Sharjeel Khan deserves playing for Pakistan after he watched him working immensely hard off the field.

McClenaghan shared his experience being with Sharjeel in Karachi Kings during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5. “Give the bloke a break. Witnessed him work very hard off the park every day during PSL. Had minimal rest because he actively wanted to get fitter – often I wondered if he wasn’t trying so hard to lose weight to play for Pakistan would have he performed more consistently with rest?” McClenaghan replied to a post questioning Sharjeel’s fitness.

It must be noted here that the New Zealander was the part of Kings’ family in PSL 5 in Pakistan. He spent quality time with Sharjeel and other notable international and local players.
