As fans and players from all around the world continue to send in their tribute to Pakistan’s retiring duo of Misbah Ul Haq and Younis Khan, former English batsman Kevin Petersen also released a video message for them.
Petersen, who is commonly known as KP, had all praise for Misbah and Younis as batsmen, men and leaders.
“Wonderful men, wonderful cricketers, brilliant captain, brilliant batsmen and brilliant leaders,” Kevin Peterson said in the video.
He further said in the video message that the Pakistan cricket will surely miss the legendary pair because of the way they have led their team in different situations.
“They will be sorely missed by Pakistan cricket, they have led their team through so much good stuff, they had some fantastic opportunities to play at some brilliant places all around the world to represent their country,” he added.
KP is sad because of their retirement from international cricket as they were quality cricketers. However, he wished the legendary batsmen luck for their future endeavours.
“It is always a sad time when players of this quality retire, but I wish them luck for their retirement,” he said. “They can be very very proud of everything that they have achieved for the country of Pakistan,” he added.
He ended the video with a suggestion for both of them.
“From my side good luck, enjoy retirement, try and jump on the franchise gig, it is a pretty good gig,” he concluded the video.
