World Boxing Council appoints Pakistan to head Arabic Zone


The World Boxing Council (WBC) on Saturday appointed Noman Shah of Pakistan as the president of their boxing program in Arabic Zone which includes India, Pakistan, Oman, Afghanistan, and Iran.

Noman who is also the President of Pakistan professional boxing League said that this initiative will help these countries to find hidden talented boxers.

“I think it is a positive imitative taken by the WBC which will help countries to produce talented boxers,” he said.

He further appreciated WBC for working tirelessly to promote boxing in the World which is a good sign to give this game a separate identity.

“I must appreciate WBC for taking such steps to encourage different countries towards boxing,” said Noman who is looking forward to work for the betterment of boxing in his region.

On the other hand, Pakistani born British boxer has been named the promoter of this program in Pakistan.
