Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) believes that the World XI tour of Pakistan will benefit the country outside cricket as well.
“World XI tour of Pakistan will not only benefit the country’s cricket but also beyond the cricketing field,” he said while talking to ARY News.
According to the former PCB chief, the Independence Cup will give a positive message to the world about Pakistan.
“It will give a message to the world that Pakistan is a safe country, Pakistanis are a welcoming nation and it will change the negative image of Pakistan,” he told.
Khan, who recently stepped down from the chairmanship of the cricket board, strived to bring back international cricket back in Pakistan throughout his tenure.
“The tour will help Pakistan economically and it can help the tourism to grow in the country,” he stated.
