Wounded Islamabad United to take on determined Peshawar Zalmi

Islamabad United will take on Peshawar Zalmi tonight in Dubai. Islamabad, under Misbah ul Haq’s captaincy will look to make up for their vulnerable performance in the opening game of the PSL against Quetta Gladiators. In contrast, Shahid Afridi’s Peshawar Zalmi would be eager to make a mark in the tournament.

Islamabad United needs to fix their mistakes that they commit last night against Quetta Gladioators. In the first match of the tournament, Quetta thumped Islamabad for their first victory of the tournament and left Islamabad with some serious wounds to heal.

Misbah ul Haq needs to rethink about the team combination. In the spinning conditions of Dubai, they were playing with four pacers and just two spinners. It seems like Islamabad united will need the services of the veteran spinners, Saeed Ajmal, who have recently claimed that he is coming back in his form. Another thing that Misbah needs to reconsider is, his batting position. He came to bat last night when his side was already down and out, nevertheless, he somewhat took his team to a fighting total.

Peshawar Zalmi seems to be in high spirits. Shahid Afridi has got an immensely talented bunch of cricketers in his team. The in-form Muhammad Hafeez, Tamim Iqbal, Boom Boom Afridi and vicious hitter Darren Sammy in the side, Peshawar looks to be a batting powerhouse. They have also got flair in their bowling, Wahab Riaz and Junaid Khan are good enough to conquer any batting lineup. No one can rule out Afridi as a bowler, who has a golden arm and can be a match-winner at any given day.

Shahid Afridi and Misbah ul Haq are both great captains in their own capacity. Islamabad United are eager to make a comeback in this match, on the other hand Peshawar looks hungry to taste their first success. Both the sides have some serious hitters, you can expect fireworks from both the sides in tonight’s game.

Final Verdict
Islamabad United seems to be favorite to win the contest as they will step into the ground learning from their mistakes. However, Peshawar Zalmi cannot be ruled out as they will look to prove their mattle.
