Wrestler Inam Butt relieved after winning two gold medals


Lahore: Pakistan’s wrestler Inam Butt talked to reporters as he returned to Pakistan after winning two gold medals in Italy and Greece respectively.

Inam on September 3 won a gold medal in the Beach Wrestling World series while claimed another gold in the World Beach Wrestling series Greece-leg.

“I defended my title twice in events where Wrestlers from all over the world participated,” Inam told reporters in Lahore.

Inam thanks relevant sports authorities for providing him best facilities ahead of both the events.

“The Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) set up our camp in which we prepared well. The Punjab Sports Board (PSB) provided us with the best facilities in Gujranwala. I’m thankful for the support of other organizations including the Pakistan Olympics,” he added.

Inam revealed that IPC Minister Fehmida Mirza was the first one to congratulate after winning gold medal. He also hailed support of Pakistan government in granting him Greece Visa while he was in Italy.
