Yasir, Abid, Shaheen to give online fitness Test next week


Lahore: The Pakistan cricket team’s management has accepted the requests of Abid Ali, Yasif Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi to give an online fitness Test next week, ARY News reported. 

According to the details, 16 centrally contracted players have given fitness Tests via video link headed by the team’s strength and conditioning coach Yasir Malik. The report will be sent to the team’s head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq shortly.

Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Shinwari and Imam-ul-Haq gave Tests on the second day. On the first-day, Haris Sohail, Mohammad Abbas, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shan Masood, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, and Imad Wasim gave tests.

It is pertinent to mention here that the online Test plan included 60 push-ups in one minute, 50 sit-ups in one minute, 10 complete chin-ups in a single attempt, 30 burpees in one minute, bodyweight Bulgarian squats (25 each side), 2.5-meter standing broad jump, reverse plan for 2 minutes and YoYo Test (Benchmark:18 points).

On the other hand, provincially contracted players have also given online tests to the respective coaches.
