Pakistan’s test player Fawad Alam has recognized that the experience of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq is vital for young players and the upcoming domestic players should take a leaf out of their book in order to succeed at the highest level.
According to Business Recorder the left handed batsman said that if the players can bring consistency into their game Pakistan will also quality batsman in the future.
“It is down to individuals. If they can inject some consistency and discipline in their batting, then there is no reason why we cannot produce quality batsmen,” he said.
“I believe that Pakistan batsmen, young and upcoming, should follow him (Younis). We need batsmen who can score runs in every game instead of one or two games.
“They need to provide the stability that players like Misbah- ul-Haq used to provide in any format of the game,” he said.
Fawad Alam is currently representing Sindh in the 50 over domestic tournament ‘Pakistan Cup’ which is currently in progress at Faisalabad. He has played 3 T20 international matches, 38 ODIs and 24 T20 matches for Pakistan an is currently truing to make his way back into the Pakistan squad.
