Younis Khan becomes the highest Pakistani scoring batsman in UAE. Up till now he has scored 2,433 runs with an average of 56.58 which includes 11 centuries. The 42-year old Misbah Ul Haq, Pakistan’s test skipper, is the next on the list with 2,152 runs.
Younis Khan’s 127 runs in the first inning and 29 runs not out in the second inning took him to the top of the list.
Misbah Ul Haq is at number two with 2,152 runs at an average of 61.48 and he has played six three figure innings. Azhar Ali has 1,877 runs to his credit including six centuries with an average of 58.6 runs. Muhammad Hafeez and Asad Shafiq are fourth and fifth on the list having scored 1,477 and 1,458 runs respectively.
In terms of age, Misbah Ul Haq at present is the senior most Test cricketer active in international cricket. He is 42 years and 150 days old. To follow him is England’s 39 years old Gareth Batty, Younis Khan and Sri Lankan cricketer Rangana Herath are 38, while Zulfiqar Babar, Pakistan origin Proteas cricketer Imran Tahir and Australian cricketer Adam Voges are all 37 years old. Close to them are Muhammad Hafeez, New Zealand’s Jeetan Patel and Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh who are 36 years of age.
