Lahore: Former cricketer Ramiz Raja advised Pakistan’s new batting coach Younis Khan to control his temperament. He thinks that coaching is completely different from playing cricket and Khan needs to adjust in a new role.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, Raja explained how important it is for Khan to control his temperament and work with the players individually. “Coaching is a whole different chapter. While coaching you need to keep yourself calm and composed. Khan needs to adjust himself in this new role,” he said.
Raja highlighted that the new batting coach will make an immense impact on batsmen. “Khan’s presence in the dressing room will benefit batsmen at full. He will create a cricketing environment that will help youngsters to learn a lot,” Raja reiterated.
“He will let batsmen learn the art of playing spin. He can help players in the fielding department, overall, it is a great chance for players to learn as much as they can,” he added.
It must be noted here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Khan as batting coach for the ‘bio-secure’ England tour from July-September. Mushtaq Ahmed was appointed as the spin bowling coach.
