KARACHI: Pakistan’s veteran middle-order batsman, Younis Khan will miss the opening game of the three-match test series against West Indies.
A PCB official told that Younis, who has recently recovered from dengue fever, has not attained full fitness and he has asked for 8 to 10 days from Inzamam Ul Haq to get ready for test cricket.
Pakistan is scheduled to play first test of the series against West Indies from October 13, which is a day/night test affair..
Babar Azam, the ODI series hero, is expected to earn a call in test squad and replace the experienced middle-order batsman in the first test.
Babar Azam created history by scoring three consecutive centuries in the 50 overs game in the recently concluded series. He scored 360 runs in the three ODIs.
