Younis and Yousaf emerged as most popular middle-order pair


Karachi: The middle-order pair of Pakistan’s highest Test run-getter Younus Khan and former captain Mohammad Yousaf emerged as the most popular pair by fans on social media.

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), second on the list was the pair of Yousaf and Inzamam-ul-Haq, a pair that remained the backbone of Pakistan Test batting in recent history.

Fans were asked to pick their favorite middle-order pair among a number of top middle-order batsmen. Younis and Yousaf together for Pakistan scored 3,137 runs at an average of 78.42 with nine century-plus partnerships in Test cricket.

Earlier, fans picked the pair of the 90s batting greats Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail as the most popular pair. Followed by Saeed Anwar’s paring with Majid Khan, who was considered as the most stylish opener Pakistan has ever produced.
