Younus likely to open against India: sources


ADELAIDE: Pakistani batsmen Younus Khan is likely to open for Pakistan in the match against India at Adelaide on Sunday citing sources, ARY Sports reports.

Umar Akmal is likely to be included in the squad as the wicket-keeper batsmen for Pakistan if Younus Khan opens the batting with Ahmed Shehzad for the green-shirts.

The middle order for the side will comprise of Misbah-ul-Haq, Haris Sohail, Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal. Shahid Afridi and Yasir Shah will be included in the side as two spinners.

Mohammad Irfan will spearhead the pace attack.

It should be noted that Pakistani openers failed to provide good starts to the team in the past several matches.
