Lahore: Two Pakistanis Zaigham Chauhan and Omar Rokhri have announced to go to K2 Base Camp on bikes to set up a new record, ARY Sports reported.
The bikers will start their journey from Skardu and will reach Askole in three days. The 110 km journey from the Askole will be completed with eleven stages. The journey will end at K2 base camp up to 5,200 meters.
The 65 km journey will be on glaciers which will be completed in seven days. A full team will travel with the bikers, including rescue workers.
“This adventure will make Pakistan famous all over the world. The adventure journey will begin in the first week of August,” Zaigham said.
“We will definitely succeed in our goal, we are excited to set a record. It has been our dream for six or seven years to make this journey. There are state-of-the-art bikes, we hope they will give good performances,” he added.
