Zimbabwe’s Indian coach likely to get Pakistani visa

Lahore: Zimbabwe Cricket is confident to get a visa for their India-hailed head coach Lalchand Rajput for their trip to Pakistan next month.

Speaking to The Daily Observer Post, Zimbabwe Cricket’s boss Tavengwa Mukuhlani expressed confidence to get a visa for Rajput who will travel with the team to Pakistan next month for three ODIs and as many T20Is.

“Lalchand Rajput is our coach and we are keen to send him with the team there Pakistan. We will request the authorities there to facilitate his travel,” Mukuhlani was quoted saying.

It must be noted here that governmental relations between Pakistan and India are not ideal at the moment. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will have to file a special request for Rajput’s visa for next month.

PCB has already confirmed Zimbabwe short tour to the country. The tourists will play three ODIs on October 30, November 1, and 3 respectively in Multan. Three T20Is between both the teams are scheduled for November 7, 8, and 10 in Rawalpindi.
