The iconic Sweden and Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he considers Serie A the best league in the world. The 34 year old striker won the Sweden player of the year for the 10th time couple of days ago and has played for various top clubs in Serie A before leaving to play in the French league in 2012.

Ibra has scored 84 goals in 99 games for the French champions and in October 2015 he became the club’s all time leading goal scorer. He has won 6 titles at PSG including three Ligue 1 titles.

Zlatan while talking to Gazzetta dello Sport expressed his views about Serie A and his stints at various top clubs in the world.

“Serie A is the place where I became famous with Juventus,”

“At Ajax I wasn’t an international star yet. Everything changed at the Bianconeri: the world opened its eyes and saw me. Apart from the year at Barcelona, I played and lived in Italy from 2004 to 2012.”

“I won the title with the three biggest clubs, Juventus, Inter and Milan. I became top scorer, I was chosen as best player.”

“For me it remains the best league in the world. And also it’s the most difficult for a striker, because they think firstly about not conceding goals and then about making them,”
